Songbirds Youth Music Festival was founded and produced by Global Musical Bridges in 2018. The festival is presented in celebration of the joy of instrumental, vocal performance, offering important performance opportunities to aspiring young performers from all over Colorado and beyond.
The Mission of the Festival is to bring together musicians, members of the community, organizations and heightens the appreciation of classical music.
Songbirds Festival is open for young performers from the age of 7 up to 19 y.o. Festival-contest is open for all nationalities and backgrounds.
* CATEGORY A - 7 to 9 years
* CATEGORY B - 10 to 12 years
* CATEGORY C - 13 to 15 years
* CATEGORY D - 16 - 19 years
VOCAL: Solo, Ensemble, Choir
INSTRUMENTAL: Piano, Strings, Woodwinds / Solo, Ensemble
Modern / Classical
*All performers have to prepare 2 compositions in contrasting styles of Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Contemporary Era;
*All compositions should be well prepared and performed by memory with live piano accompaniment;
*Changes to the submitted program are not allowed.
DURATION OF PERFORMANCE
CATEGORY A & B - 10 min
CATEGORY C & D - 15 min

Non-refundable Application Fee: Solo - $75 / Ensemble - $75
*Late or incomplete applications will be placed on a waiting list and will only be considered if space is available;
*Global Musical Bridges reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during the festival for promotional purposes;
*All the decisions of the adjudicators are FINAL;
*Global Musical Bridges reserves the right to terminate the Competition, in whole or in part, and/or adjust, amend or suspend the Competition, and/or the Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.
All participants will receive a memorable Trophy & Certificate for participation.

* Live Performance - Saturday, March 21, 2020, 5 PM. The doors will be open at 4.30 PM.
* Award Ceremony - Saturday, March 21, 2020, 7 PM.
