ABOUT

Songbirds Youth Music Festival was founded and produced by Global Musical Bridges in 2018 in Denver (Colorado).

The festival is presented in celebration of the joy of instrumental, vocal performance, offering important performance opportunities to aspiring young performers from all the world.

OUR MISSION

The Mission of the Festival is to bring together musicians, members of the community, organizations and heightens the appreciation of classical and modern music.

Songbirds Festival is open for young performers from the age of 8 up to 19 years old The festival is open for all nationalities and backgrounds. Vocalists, instrumentalists and young composers are welcomed to compete and be discovered.

AGE CATEGORIES

​

CATEGORY A - 8 to 11 years

​

CATEGORY B - 12 to 15 years

CATEGORY C - 16 to 19 years

CATEGORIES

VOCAL  - Solo / Ensemble / Choir

INSTRUMENTAL  - Piano, String and Woodwind instruments. Solo / Ensemble

COMPOSERS 

​

​

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

All participants should to prepare 2 contrasting compositions, 15 minutes maximum;

 Classical music;

 Vocalists: 2 contrasting arias or art songs;

 Instrumentalists: 2 contrasting compositions (XVI - XXI);

 Composers: 2 own compositions (music scores have to be uploaded with the application with autograph);

 All compositions should be well prepared and performed by memory. Composers can use their music scores during the performance;

 Vocalists and other solo instruments should use live piano accompaniment;

 Any changes in the program are not allowed after the submitted Online Application.

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted          

Global Musical Bridges reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during the festival for promotional purposes
